Message from Dr. Lee
Recently a mother visited, wishing to meet me and find out more about my
practice. She was looking for a new dentist and likely wanted to find out about my
practice philosophy. Patients do not like changing dentists and usually want to
be sure that a change will be for the long term.
I was comfortable to oblige because after 15 years of practice, I have developed
a philosophy that probably will not change a whole lot in the future.
Firstly we discussed some of the charity work that I do because she had a
connection to similar work through a relative. Eventually I shared my thoughts
on dental care as a service. I told her that dentistry in Canada maintains some
of the highest standards in the world. The dental schools in Canada have
limited enrollment and our licensing body has stringent regulations a dentist
must follow. As a result, we follow high standards of care. Furthermore, I am
trained in a wide spectrum of dental service including some dentistry that mostly
specialists provide.
Patients may not always be able to proceed with some of the "higher-end"
dentistry that is available today. However, there are great alternative options
and I personally feel that these options should be made available. In this way,
patients will always receive quality dentistry, only accepting options that may be
more affordable.
In conclusion, you need not be concerned that certain procedures will be
imposed upon you. There are a lot of options that can be considered at my
practice. I am experienced in many levels of dentistry so let's discuss what is
best suitable for you.
